New things in my life in less than a week

-Beeing called a Mzungu everyday (nickname for white people)
-Going by boda boda (local motorbike)
-Haiked a hill with Ebba
-Haiked a smaller mountain for about 4 hours with the whole group+ some new friends
-Handwashed my clothes in the presence of the sun
-Showered in a bucket
-Eaten delicious Kenyan food
-Having everyone trying to make me fat so I can become a big and healthy woman
-Gone to the church for a 4 hour ceremony
Tried Kenyan tea, which is basically just milk and sugar. And for those who know that I don’t drink milk... yes you can guess for yourself how much of that I am drinking.
-Got the question if I could teach religion in school, not just religion, Christianity to be specific. And again, those who know me can guess how nervous I was about how to answer that question politely.

This is just a few things that I am filling my days with here in Nyansiongo.

Now,I want to tell you about Elisabeth. That is the name of one girl who asked the principal of the school if she could greet us. The principal showed her in to the staffroom where we were sitting, she greeted us and said she would love to show us around the school and that we also could rely on her to show us around in the village. This girl is about 12 years old and she just touched my heart. This girl really saw us for who we were and not just a Mzungu, Thank you Elisabeth, for making both me and Ebba feel welcome. I will never forget you.

// Kerubo (my new Kenyan name)
