"Take care of your Mzungu time"
We decided to embrace it and help the school in the right direction. Me and Ebba likes doing project, as you might have understood by now... So we decided to make 3 classrooms a bit more fun and more suitable for educating the small ones. So baby- and pre-unit class has now been transformed to a more fun environment with different education tools for the teachers to use. We still have a few remaining things to fix, plus the entire nursery class. During our process a few teachers have told us how beautiful it looks and the students keeps telling us "it looks so smart!" The other day the board of members of the school also visited us while painting and they looked very pleased. It feels good doing something that makes it easier for both students aswell as teachers in the learning process.

Drawings that will decorate their classrooms. Baby class.

Benjamin and Hezron are doing their drawings. Pre-unit.
As you know I'm more of the person to tell you the process going on inside my head. It's a lot of thoughts going on at the same time and I think it's important for you to understand that everything is both good and bad all the time. Lately everything has become more substantial, it's like I only see the bad things, the horrible unfair things. It's become difficult for me to see the beauty in it all, it's difficult to live in a different culture where the values might be different towards my own. I want to be just Ellen for one day, not a Mzungu. But then one day a wise man told me " take care of the Mzungu time you have left". And he was so true, I will.
I will see the smiles, I will see the joy and happiness. I will see the beautiful nature which provides us fantastic food. I will see the caring people and the loving friends we've gotten. I will see the remarkable, hard working students and the teachers that has such a passion for educating them. I will see it all.

There is only 1 month left now, and I will do my best to really take advantage of that time.
Till next time, take care of your Mzungu time or what ever time it might be. Take care of it, see it all.
